Pindamonhangaba launches City’s Book magazine aimed at the business sector and economic development

Pindamonhangaba launched the City’s Book magazine on Thursday (31), at the Palacete 10 de Julho. The magazine has print and online versions and has national and international circulation, with texts in Portuguese, English and also indicators in Mandarin (Chinese). The event was attended by Mayor Ricardo Piorino, municipal secretaries, representatives of institutions and businessmen from the city. The publication was produced by the City’s Book Group in partnership with the Communication and Events and Economic Development departments of the Pindamonhangaba City Hall and will be used to promote the city to investors. The objective of the project is to increase the visibility of the municipality and disseminate the administration’s information in the national and international market, promoting the city to the business sector, highlighting economic data, incentive laws, project approval, as well as fundamental indicators, such as the title of second city with the best quality of life in the region, according to IPS indicators. The magazine is distributed free of charge and copies are available at City Hall and other public buildings, as well as online reading at https://bit.ly/Pindamonhangaba-sp_2025-26

Mayor Ricardo Piorino highlighted some of Pindamonhangaba's indicators portrayed in the magazine. City's Book director Victor Falcão recorded a video highlighting key aspects of the city, such as GDP, employment, and export figures. He congratulated Mayor Ricardo Piorino on the indicators and the city's management. Alexandre Pió, Secretary of Communications and Events, stated that the magazine's objective is to generate partnerships, investments, and economic development for the city. "The magazine will contribute to the accountability of the municipal administration and will help attract new entrepreneurs interested in investing in Pindamonhangaba, which is growing rapidly and at a rapid pace. One of the goals of the Department of Communications and Events is to provide quality information to the population and investors, which will help Pindamonhangaba continue its development," he said. Francisco Carvalho, Vice President of Operations at Novelis, and Felipe Weidlich, Industrial Director at Gerdau, highlighted expansion investments and the future potential of the companies. UniFunvic's dean, Luis Otávio Palhari, praised the city as a land of opportunity for the university and the growth of its citizens. Former Secretary of Economic Development and current Secretary of Public Services, José Antonio Ferreira Filho "Ju," emphasized the importance of keeping the city organized and structured to serve the population and facilitate business services. Current Secretary of Economic Development, Marcelo Martuscelli, highlighted the services provided by the Secretariat, which is open to assisting entrepreneurs and helping them grow their businesses.
Use of the Magazine
The magazine will be used primarily for Pindamonhangaba's participation in trade shows, conferences, and business meetings, as well as meetings with business leaders, Brazilian and international chambers of commerce, trade associations, embassies, consulates, development agencies, federal secretariats, and other agencies and institutions focused on attracting businesses and promoting economic development.
