The magazine is a multilingual territorial marketing publication that serves as a business card for the city.
Piracicaba expanded its national and international profile with the presentation of the City’s Book 2026-27 edition, at an event held last week at Pecege, during the Regional Leadership Meeting, which brought together more than 200 representatives from the private sector in the Metropolitan Region.

City’s Book magazine is a multilingual territorial marketing publication, with content in Portuguese, English, and Mandarin, and highlights also in Korean, serving as a business card for the city, with national and international circulation. The material presents, in a qualified manner, the main economic, social, and logistical assets of Piracicaba and is aimed at investors, embassies, consulates, chambers of commerce, and companies interested in expanding operations in Brazil.
Representing Mayor Helinho Zanatta, the Secretary of Economic Development, Industry and Commerce, Thais Fornicola, highlighted the magazine's role in promoting the city. “We work daily to maintain Piracicaba as the best place to live, study and work in Brazil, strengthening a concrete competitive advantage for companies evaluating new investments and long-term expansion projects. City’s Book takes this message beyond our region and our country,” stated Thais.

The publication compiles indicators that help position the city among investors. As the seat of a Metropolitan Region composed of 24 cities and approximately 1.5 million inhabitants, Piracicaba plays a strategic role in regional productive articulation. The municipality has a population exceeding 440,000 inhabitants, 144,000 formal jobs, and a GDP per capita of R$ 104,770.09 (IBGE, 2023) — about 30% above the state average. Its location reinforces its logistical vocation: 160 km from the capital of São Paulo, 70 km from Viracopos International Airport, and 240 km from the Port of Santos.
Piracicaba occupies the 17th position in the Municipal Competitiveness Ranking — an advance of 13 places — and is 6th in Brazil in the quality of accounting information, an indicator associated with legal security and investor confidence. The city also appears as the 8th best place to live in Brazil and the 6th best in education, with a Human Development Index (HDI) of 0.785, a cost of living 40% lower than that of the capital, and 100% sanitation coverage.
The central focus of this edition is the local innovation ecosystem, structured by PiN — Piracicaba Innovation, which integrates government, universities, and companies around six vocations: bioeconomy, One Health, advanced industry, information technology, creative economy, and regenerative tourism. In 2025, calls for proposals for land donations in industrial districts attracted R$ 163 million in investments from 19 companies.
The launch took place at the same meeting that included the Secretary of Economic Development of the State of São Paulo, Jorge Lima, who presented trends and paths for São Paulo's economic development, reinforcing the agenda for attracting investments to the region.
The project was sponsored by the following companies: ACIPI, AGC VIDROS DO BRASIL, AGUASSANTA, CATERPILLAR BRASIL, FERMENTEC, FRIAS NETO, GESTAMP, HYUNDAI, JJH CONSTRUTORA, KLABIN, KUTTNER, OJI PAPÉIS ESPECIAIS, PECEGE, SERGET e VIAÇÃO STENICO
