Nova Odessa will gain an international trilingual edition of the business magazine City’s Book in 2022

The city of Nova Odessa will be featured in a special trilingual edition of the business magazine City’s Book (www.citysbook.com), which is expected to be published in Portuguese, English and – at the request of Mayor Cláudio José Schooder, known as Leitinho, and his deputy Alessandro Miranda, known as Mineirinho – also in Mandarin (the predominant language in China). The edition is expected to be released in 2022.

A team from the City’s Book Project – including Maná Group’s Public Relations Officer, Victor Falcão – recently met with Deputy Mayor Alessandro Miranda and the Municipal Secretary of Economic and Social Development, Rafael Brocchi. During the meeting, details of the initiative were presented, which will promote and publicize the city of Nova Odessa internationally with the main objective of attracting new companies, investments and business to the municipality.

“We understand that it is vital to promote Nova Odessa and the companies that are part of the city’s production park. This City’s Book will be sent to Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Brasília, embassies and economic development agencies, addressing the city’s economic potential and showcasing the best we have to offer,” said Mineirinho.

The publication of the magazine is free of charge for the Municipality, and all major industries, businesses and service providers in the city should be invited to advertise in the Nova Odessa edition of City’s Book. A launch event for the Book will also be held, to be announced soon to the entire business community of Nova Odessa.

The request for the translation of the information into Mandarin has a special reason. In December, in search of new private investments and partnerships for the city's companies, Mayor Leitinho met with the leadership of the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Even a trip by a delegation from Nova Odessa to the Asian giant is being prepared.

Present at the meeting for the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry were Chairman Charles Tang, Vice President Natália Tang, Director Marcelo Vianna, Director of Solid Waste Silvio Luciano de Souza and business partner Sérgio Araújo, as well as Ednalva de Lima Souza, Silvio's wife.

Founded 35 years ago, the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (https://camarabrasilchina.com/) seeks, according to Tang, to bring Chinese companies and potential investors closer to Brazilian cities and companies, and has already facilitated million-dollar investments in many partner municipalities, totaling around US$ 6 billion.
