The City’s Book team visited the Contagem City Hall on November 2025, to finalize details regarding the city's first edition.

In 2026, the municipality of Contagem will be part of a City Marketing initiative for the first time through the publication of City’s Book Contagem - MG, a bilingual publication that will showcase the city's economic and institutional potential.

To align the project, two meetings were held at the Contagem City Hall. The first was with the Undersecretary of Economic Development, Fabio Alves Barbosa, and the Superintendent of Institutional Relations, Bernardo Gomes. The second meeting was held with the Deputy Mayor, Dr. Ricardo Faria. The meetings aimed to define guidelines, editorial scope, and strategies for the creation of the edition dedicated to the municipality.
The publication, edited in Portuguese, English, and Mandarin, will compile data, indicators, and initiatives that reflect Contagem's best administrative practices, functioning as an institutional portfolio aimed at attracting investments and forming strategic partnerships.

Located in the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region, Contagem has an economy marked by diversity and a strong presence of the industrial, logistics, commercial, and service sectors. According to data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the municipality has a GDP per capita of R$ 54,136.41 (2021), an indicator that reinforces its relevance in the Minas Gerais and national economic landscape.

Furthermore, Contagem stands out for its business dynamism. According to the Commercial Registry of the State of Minas Gerais (Jucemg), the municipality ranks third among the cities that have opened the most businesses in Minas Gerais, demonstrating a favorable environment for business and innovation. The combination of strategic location, consolidated infrastructure, and economic diversity sustains a continuous cycle of growth and opportunity generation.
The City’s Book Contagem - MG edition will have national and international distribution through the Secretariat of Economic Development and development agencies, such as embassies and consulates. The launch is scheduled for the first half of 2026, at an event that will bring together public administration and local businesses, promoting networking, strategic connections, and the exchange of experiences.
