City’s Book visits UN and Brazilian Consulate in New York

Last week the City’s Book team was in New York City, United States, to visit two important organizations located on North American soil: the Brazilian Consulate General in New York and the UN headquarters - United Nations.

The Consulate General of Brazil in New York represents the Brazilian public administration in New York City and its Trade and Investment Promotion Department (SECOM) has the mission of assisting Brazilian businesses in promoting their exports, in addition to promoting the attraction of foreign investment to Brazil. Its jurisdiction covers the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

On the occasion, we were warmly welcomed by the team of Mr. Leonardo Enge, Deputy Consul General, represented by Mrs. Candida Borges, and Mr. Arjuna Canella, from the Trade and Investment Promotion Sector (SECOM), who received several copies of the City's Book project from different Brazilian cities.

Our team’s next agenda item was a visit to the UN headquarters - United Nations, in the heart of New York City, where copies of the City’s Book were also distributed.

Passing through the emblematic General Assembly Hall and the UN Security Council Chamber, the tour offers a true lesson in Diplomacy, economic development, sustainability and attracting investment, which are topics that encompass the work of the City's Book project and city marketing.
