The economic potential of Mogi das Cruzes is being presented in Canada during a visit by Secretary of Economic and Social Development, Clodoaldo de Moraes. On Tuesday (November 05, 2019), Moraes was at the Brazilian Consulate in the country with the Consul General Ana Lélia Benincá Beltrame and the Assistant Consul General Ademar Seabra da Cruz Junior. The program will also have a visit to the Foreign Trade Chamber and Canadian City Halls.
The trip was made at the invitation of Maná Group Communication Group City's Book, responsible for the magazine "City´s Book". “We present Mogi das Cruzes through City's Book and our promotional material. They were very optimistic and really liked our city to learn about the work being done by Mayor Marcus Melo to bring the City Hall closer to entrepreneurs and initiatives such as the Entrepreneur Room and the Digital Polo, ”said Moraes. Both initiatives were awarded this year.
Besides its privileged location, Mogi das Cruzes is among the 100 best Brazilian cities to invest in business, with population over 100 thousand inhabitants. With investments in various sectors, such as education and health, as well as a consolidated public policy for attracting and setting up new companies, the city went from 75th place in 2017 to 68th place in 2018.
“Our goal this week is to partner with other cities, bringing business and cultural relationships to Mogi das Cruzes, as we have with other countries. We are showing our potential to Canadian companies interested in expanding their businesses, ”said the secretary. The City’s Book magazine, which is already in its second edition, highlights the main attractions of the city in the area of economic development, with the intention of increasing the visibility of the municipality, generating partnerships, new investments and economic development for the city.
