Material with international distribution serves as a showcase to attract new businesses to the city.

Works and services carried out by the Hortolândia City Hall are highlighted in another edition of City’s Book Magazine, launched this Thursday (January 29th) in the auditorium of the pharmaceutical company EMS. Mayor José Nazareno Zezé Gomes and the Secretary of Economic Development, Labor, Tourism and Innovation, Dimas Correa Pádua, participated in the event, which also included the presence of representatives from large companies in the city, partners in the local development of the municipality and in the national and international dissemination of Hortolândia's economic data – a showcase for new investments.

The City’s Book Hortolândia is written in Portuguese and translated into English and Mandarin. Distribution is targeted at governmental, economic, and cultural sectors, as well as businesspeople, investors, and decision-makers. The aim of the material is to promote international recognition of the city through its public policies and development potential.

“I am very proud to see Hortolândia recognized for its current stage of development. This transformation didn't happen by chance. It began back in 2005, with firm decisions and heavy investments in urban infrastructure, which prepared our city to grow in a planned and sustainable way. It was this continuous work that enabled the arrival of hundreds of large companies, generating jobs, income, and opportunities for our population. Today, Hortolândia is consolidated as one of the best cities to invest in the State of São Paulo and in Brazil,” commented Mayor Zezé Gomes. “We continue to move forward, with planning, responsibility, and a focus on people, to guarantee economic development, quality of life, and an ever-better future for those who live and invest here,” he added.

Among the actions highlighted in the material are projects such as the construction of the overpass over the railway line in Vila Real, an action considered a milestone in urban mobility for Hortolândia. The magazine also features services offered by the Municipal Administration, such as professional training, more places in daycare centers, health services, and investments in energy efficiency, with the electrification of the urban public transport fleet. For the general director of City’s Book, Victor Falcão, the magazine functions as a business card. “City’s Book will take the name of Hortolândia outside of Brazil, helping to attract investments and improvements to the city and bringing a direct impact to the population of Hortolândia,” said Falcão, in a video message addressed to those present at the event.

“Investments in infrastructure are fundamental to the quality of life of people within the city. This gives Hortolândia a comparative advantage in the process of attracting new companies. When a businessman comes to our Development Secretariat to learn about the city, understand the city, and find out where he can set up shop, the first thing we do is give him a copy of the magazine. And it has been working,” explained the Secretary of Development.
