The Municipality of Cubatão, through the Secretariat of Industry, Ports, Employment, and Entrepreneurship, held the launch of the special edition of the City’s Book Cubatão magazine this Monday (30). The publication presents the city and its attractions, including economic and social data, as well as information on various areas such as education, culture, environment, and urban development. The launch event took place in the Mayor's Office meeting room and was attended by members of the Municipal Administration, representatives from the industrial sector, and the publishing house responsible for producing the magazine.

Representing Mayor César Nascimento, Deputy Mayor Andrea Castro stated that "this event is extremely important, as it highlights that the city's progress, growth, and recovery have not just begun recently, and that Cubatão has not remained stagnant over time. Cubatão is a case study in environmental recovery, and this is the result of a pact between the public authorities at all levels, the industries, and the participation of the community through organized civil society organizations, with everyone having a voice," Andrea began. She added that Cubatão will attend COP 30 not merely to present a project, but to showcase its strength by speaking of what it has done and what it continues to do. This applies to social issues, the environment and climate change, industry, housing, and other areas.

"We must also mention the achievements, the projects already completed, and those still underway, such as those in Vila dos Pescadores and Vila Esperança. It has been a challenging effort that began in 2017 and is being addressed with sustainability as its foundation. The main highways that provide access to the Port run through our city. We have a privileged geography, abundant water, a strong industrial area, and committed companies. In short, we have a solid infrastructure and tangible results, some of which are showcased in the pages of this magazine for both Brazil and the world, including the '10 reasons to invest or do business in Cubatão'," the Deputy Mayor concluded.

A short video was shown providing information about the publication and its purpose, highlighting the participation of the city's business sector. The magazine is available in both print and digital formats, in Portuguese and English, facilitating its international reach. City’s Book also features success stories of companies that have chosen to invest in the municipality, strengthening the city's image as a favorable location for business. The magazine’s general director, Victor Falcão, sent a message directly from Canada to Mayor César Nascimento and his team: "Cubatão is a city that represents a model of development and fosters partnerships that positively impact people’s lives. All of this justifies and elevates the importance of this launch," emphasized Falcão. According to him, "the focus of the publication is the promotion of the municipality."

The Secretary of Industry, Ports, Employment, and Entrepreneurship, Fabrício Lopes, stated that "the city fits the profile to be featured in the publication, which is recognized for its editorial quality and stands as a marketing tool aimed at promoting the economic and tourism potential of cities, highlighting their strengths and attracting investment at both national and international levels."

Fabrício spoke about the synergy this moment represents for the city, with the magazine’s launch bringing together the productive sector, public authorities, and civil society. "This is partnership. It serves to build a continuous and respected Cubatão in this process. It is important for everyone to rediscover Cubatão, a city with a productive vocation, prepared for the future, and open to the world," he concluded.

Representatives of the partner companies featured in City’s Book Cubatão also spoke: Braskem, Emae, Nutrigesso, Porã Gestão Operacional, Nutrilog, and Yara Brasil. Each of them emphasized their company profile, areas of operation, presence beyond Cubatão, and market positioning.
